Google AI Mode

Ask Google AI Mode a question and get its answer: the text, its blocks in order, and the sources Google cites. AI Mode answers longer questions than AI Overview and can continue a conversation with follow_up_token.

[!NOTE] When AI Mode returns no answer text, the run completes with found: false and is not charged. You only pay 3 credits when an answer comes back.

Common validation errors:

query is required
query may not be greater than 2000 characters

Tips

Ask a full question (wer ist Geschäftsführer von <Firma> <Ort>, what does <company> do) and set hl and gl to its language and country.
Answers usually take 2 to 10 seconds, sometimes up to 20.
To ask a follow-up, send the follow_up_token from the previous answer together with the new query. Each follow-up is a new, separately charged run.
Google sometimes announces a list ("Die Geschäftsführer sind:") whose items do not come through. The names are then usually in references[].snippet.
Some references[].link values carry only the host. A sibling reference with the same source usually has the page path.
The answer is Google's generated text. Check it against the cited sources before you rely on it.
